Peppermint

Peppermint

I am completely bewildered with how incredibly busy Pomp and Splendour has become. It’s now March, we are still in the thick of wedding season so not a great deal of down time is available, and I often fear that I might just find it hard to stop when things naturally slow as the season cools. I used to be the queen of carefree relaxation, living in the hinterland of Byron Bay, studying yoga, going to the beach, growing flowers and veggies and working part time…. Seems like a lifetime ago! These days it feels as if some creative frenzy has taken over. I’m waking up in the middle of the night with design concepts or ideas on how to construct something for a client. Real life Eureka moments! Help! IS this normal? Does it really even matter? It’s just happening I s’pose. It is beautifully humbling when these streaks of creativity get a bit of recognition. Peppermint magazine wrote up a great little article on Pomp and Splendour in the Autumn edition and used images from a fabulous photoshoot collaboration I flowered and styled back in early Spring. It looks so beautiful and my simple message on moving towards more sustainable practices in floristry finally got a bit of a voice. Thank you so much Peppermint Mag! I recommend everyone to buy this magazine, so many inspiring stories 🙂

Thanks again to everyone who was involved on the photoshoot, especially to Lady Day Hair and Make Up and The Lucy Chase Project who didn’t seem to get a mention in the mag. xx
